If This Sounds Familiar, This Class Is for You
You already know how to groom. But corrective grooming on an overgrown dog is tricky, inconsistent and stressful.
You don't have an overall "look" that you’re going for because you just can't envision the face until you start chomping away.
You take so long that by the end you are exhausted and the money does not add up to the energy you spent.
You know what a beautiful face should look like. You have the image in your head. But the results don’t match it.
The ears never match. You don’t love the shape. One of them has its own idea of where it wants to go.
The area between the eye and the ear is its own little mystery and you are still not sure what to do with it.
The problem is not your talent.
What if instead of bracing yourself and having a teeeny spiral, you actually had a plan? A blueprint you could reach for every single time….
Your days are calmer, confidence grows and your books fill up.
You need a reliable process for corrective grooming. One that works even when the dog is uneven, the coat is overgrown, and the clock is ticking.
That is what the June 8th masterclass is about. And I want you there. Come hang with me!
You are not alone in any of this. And this masterclass is going to change all of it.
Grooming can be easier when it’s simplified.
That is what a blueprint does. It takes the part of your brain that is second guessing and gives it something solid to hold onto. A plan. A process. A sequence of steps that works even when the dog is a total mystery.
After June 8th, here is what will be different for you:
You will have a symmetry technique you can apply to every groom
You will know how to read an overgrown coat and make a plan before the first cut, which means you stop reacting and start working with intention.
2 words: Cute. Ears.
You will know the right lengths for the beard, the bangs, and every tricky transition in between.
You leave the groom feeling proud of the result, not just relieved it is over.
And you’ll get to hear all my jokes, so there’s that…

Who’s teaching this thing?
Jess Rona has been grooming for 20-plus years as a celebrity groomer, educator, and salon owner in Los Angeles. She has taught at Groom Expo West and Hershey and has helped thousands of students through her online courses.
She is known for making the complex feel simple. Not scientist to student, but artist to artist.
Students describe her classes the way they describe hanging out with a grooming best friend who also happens to be a very experienced instructor, warm, funny, puts things in a tangible easy to understand way, and completely in your corner.
She is the founder of JRG Salon in LA, the JRG online course library, and the Shmoop grooming product line.
This Masterclass is Right For You if…
You have the basics down and are ready to level up, especially on corrective and overgrown faces.
You are a groomer who knows what a beautiful face should look like but struggles to execute it consistently.
You feel like you are in a creative rut, it’s time for a fresh eye, inspiration and a new framework.
You are a visual learner who needs to see it done, not just hear or read it described.

The replay is included in both tiers and you keep it forever. Watch it on your own time, as many times as you want. Rewatching is actually one of the things students love most, you catch new things every time.
-
Both! This masterclass is best for groomers who have the basics down and want to level up on corrective and overgrown situations. If you are a complete beginner, you might want to start with the JRG101 (the Just Starting Out course). If you are experienced and feel like you have hit a ceiling or are in a rut, this is absolutely for you.

The $49 tier is the live masterclass on June 8th plus the replay for life. The $99 bundle adds three vault masterclass replays: the Doodle Face Fix Masterclass, the JRG Faces Masterclass, and Balanced Boofs: The Face Symmetry Masterclass. All four masterclasses together build a face library that covers a wide range of coat types, challenges, and styles.

This comes up a lot and the answer is yes, and here is why. You are watching a real groom happen in real time, not a slideshow or a lecture. You will see exactly where Jess places her body, how she holds her shears, the angles she uses, the moments she pauses and reassesses. Then you take that and practice on your next dog. The replay means you can go back and rewatch any part as many times as you need to. Students who said they were hands-on learners consistently say this format worked better than they expected.
-
Yes. There is a Q&A at the end of the live class on June 8th. This is for live attendees only and will not be in the replay. If you have specific questions about your grooms or your dogs, show up live and bring them.
-
You will get a confirmation email right away with your Zoom link and access instructions. The replay will be delivered after the live class wraps up on June 8th.
